Ughelli/Udu Rep Seat: Over 1000 Christian Clerics Pray, Promise To Mobilise Members For Waive’s Victory

The re-election of the Member Representing Ughelli North/South/Udu Federal constituency, Rev. Hon. Francis Ejiroghene Waive, weekend, received a major boost as a coalition of clergymen has vowed to mobilise their followers for Waive’s victory in next month’s general election.

The Christian leaders, who gathered during a prayer conference held in Ughelli Kingdom Hall, prayed for the re-election of Rev Waive for a second term.

The Clergymen numbering over 1000 from different denominations of the Christian fold in the constituency also assured Rev Waive that they will mobilise their members and parishioners to vote for him and ensure that he gets a second term in the Green Chamber.

The event tagged, “2023 Annual Day of Prayers for Rev Francis Ejiroghene Waive” featured Clergymen from all five Blocks of CAN including the Catholic Secretariat of Nigeria, Christian Council of Nigeria, Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria and many others.

Speakers include Ven Azugo, Rev Thinkan, Ven Kpangban, Bro Julius Ariko, Bishop Idoro, Rev Okoroji, Bishop Mike Amameyi, Rev Deke, Ven Awaritoma, Pastor Gab Onobiokor, Rev Sunday Oghenechowven, Rev Emma Eredoro, Rev DPO Sotu, Rev Julius Fovie etc.

Prayers were made for Rev Waive and DSP Omo-Agege’s victory in the upcoming elections and divine protection, credible and peaceful elections, etc, and participants were also encouraged to urge their parishioners to vote for Rev Waive.

Speaking separately during prayer sessions, they commended Rev Waive for not disgracing the Church and the body of Christ, adding that he has set a new record of representation in Ughelli North/South/Udu Federal constituency, with the achievements he recorded in his first tenure.

Rev Thinkan congratulated Rev. Waive on his first term in office in the course of service to the nation and assured him that the clergymen will stand in support of him and also back him up with prayers.

He also tasked Rev. Waive to raise the bar on the aspect of representation to supersede his first-term achievements.

“Sir, as you go for the second term please do more. You are not limited to two terms and I don’t know what the next position will be.

Also speaking, Rev Gab Onobiokor prayed for Hon. Waive to return to the House of Representatives and dominate it.

He said, “Rev. Francis Waive go and win. This time around, you are going higher in the house because it is from glory to glory. By the decree of the watchers here today, we decree that you have won. You shall go there and dominate the house. It’s signed, sealed and settled”.

“We want to ensure that you get back there and righteousness will reign in our nation,” he added.

The lawmaker, Rev Waive thanked the men of God and the body of Christ for their continuous support and assured them that by the Grace of God, he will do better in the second term.
