The crisis that engulfed the families of Ibegbulem and Okoh over the romantic relationship between their children late Victor Okoh and Ogechi Ibegbulem continued unabated as the deceased family continues with their threat to inflict harm on Ogechi whenever she’s found.
Investigations by Advocate at Agbor Ika South Local Government Area of Delta State, Nigeria revealed that the protracted family crisis that started immediately the family learnt that the young couples contracted their marriage at Saint Peter’s Anglican Church ,Agbor had claimed Ogechi’s father who died when the family house was burned down following Victor Okoh death
after nine months in coma from injuries sustained when he was smashed by a vehicle while running from his family members after the marriage ceremony.
It was revealed that the said solemnization contracted on March 18th 2016 got to the rich groom family infuriated that he condescended so low in marrying from a poor family and that he must divorced and get married to another girl a development Late Victor Okoh vehemently opposed before the ensued fracas and while trying to escape from the scene got smashed by a vehicle where he was seriously injured and left unattended to that lead to his loosing of consciousness and subsequent death after nine months in hospital at Agbor.
Meanwhile the situation has assumed a very dangerous dimension as Ogechi who has lost her mother and other valuable properties and now other of her siblings leaves perpetual fear and in constant harassment from Victor’s family that are insisting that Ogechi be killed to join the husband as the only means of settling the three years crisis.
Meanwhile indications from the traditional rulers and close families revealed that several meetings have been held towards resolving the crisis since Ogechi is said to have left the shore of the country to Europe , the deadlock situation still persists as the rich family said it’s only her life that would settle the crisis.
