Those planning to celebrate Sheriff’s victory have been shamed – Ayemidejor

The Director, Asaba International Airport, in Delta State, Mr Austin Ayemidejor, has described those who supported Senator Modu Sherriff as failures and likened them to the biblical wall of Jericho that has fallen and will not rise again politically.

Ayemidejor, who is also the Coordinator of Team Okowa Again, a group committed to the reelection of Governor Ifeanyi Okowa, said, it was disheartening to see people, preparing to celebrate a ruling that would have dragged the country’s nascent democracy back.

According to him, “we know those who printed flags and were preparing to celebrate that day. They have concluded arrangement to take over the party secretariat.  Let them hide their faces, and like I will always say, the walls of Jericho has fell down and it will never rise again.’’

Hon. Ayemidejor who led the Sapele Local Government Area chapter of Team Okowa Again to the former Minister of Information, Prof. Sam Oyovbaire’s country home in Opuraja in Okpe Local Government area of Delta State, to solicit his support and prayers for the group, commended Governor Okowa for the massive development across the state saying he, (Okowa) has brought prosperity to Deltans within a short period of time.

“Team Okowa Again is spreading like wild fire and Deltans are identifying with us. We are having chapters in every local Government. And we are committed to the goals and objectives of the governor’’

Ayemidejor described this new group of PDP members as rebranded and committed towards playing politics of inclusion. He said over 90% of those who left the party for the All Progressive Congress, APC, is now back to the PDP, and urged Deltans to vote Okowa in 2019.

Meanwhile Mr. Eugene Inoaghan, the Coordinator of Sapele Local Government Area chapter of Team Okowa Again, also commended the Delta State government Dr Ifeanyi Okowa for good governance.

Inoaghan who was speaking to media men at ward 5 urban area in Sapele Delta State, venue where over 50 APC members decamped to the people’s Democratic Party, PDP said it was obvious Okowa was delivering dividends of democracy to Deltans, If not, how would you explain the numbers of people who keep decamping from opposition parties.  Adding that with limited resources Governor Okowa has attracted developmental projects across the State.  ‘’We are grateful to him and we will work assiduously to bring him back in 2019’’ he said.

The All Progressive Congress, APC, decampee were received by the State PDP chairman Hon. Barr Kingsley Esiso who commended them for taking what he call the’ progressive step’  Promising a level playing field for every member of the party.

Other party leaders present at the ceremony include Commissioner for Science and Technology, Hon Joyce Overah, Sapele Local Government PDP Chairman. Hon Chief David Oghenekevwe, Director of Asaba international Airport and national Coordinator of team Okowa again. Hon. Austin Ayamidejor, chairman of Sapele Local Government Area, Hon. Ejonfe Odebala and a host of others.
