Suspected armourer of female robbery kingpin arrested in Delta

An armourer to a notorious female criminal gang, Vincent Junior at McCaiver Market area in Warri South Local Government Area of Delta State, has been arrested.

The arrest was effected weekend by officers and men of the “Operation Safe Delta” unit of the Delta Police Command of the Nigeria Police Force, led by CSP Eyoh Anietie.

It was gathered that different locally-made pistols and other weapons were also recovered from the suspect who is the armourer to the notorious female armed robbery suspect, Bella Lucky, who was nabbed recently.

Meanwhile, the Delta State Commissioner of Police, CP Mohammed Hafiz Inuwa, who confirmed the arrest, said the arrest of Vincent Junior and four others were effected two days ago.

“Vincent Junior and four others have been nabbed. They’re in our hand. They also recovered a gun.

“He used to supply them (armed robbers) weapons. When we arrested some of them, they say this was their source of getting arms.

“So, we had to move to Warri to get him arrested and even made recovery. An investigation is still going on.

“We might stumble on additional arms we don’t know. It is an investigation that will show,” he noted during a chat with journalists on phone.

Recall that the notorious female armed robbery suspect, Bella Lucky and two others, were arrested recently in the same area where the armourer, Vincent Junior, was arrested in Warri.

Lucky specialized in luring her victims to her criminal gang with a commercial tricycle in Warri and its environs before their arrest was effected by the police squad.
