Rim-Rukeh’s appointment as FUPRE VC; Ovu Development Union lauds Buhari, Omo-Agege, others

The leadership of Ovu Development Union, ODU, Ovu community, Agbon clan, Ethiope East local government area of Delta State, yesterday, commended President Muhammadu Buhari, Deputy President of the Senate, Sen. Ovie Omo-Agege on the appointment of Prof. Akpofure Rim-Rukeh, Vice-Chancellor, Federal University of Petroleum Resources, FUPRE, Effurun.
The union had also commended the outgone Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Akaehomen Okonigbon lbhadode, the Pro-Chancellor and Chairman of the Governing Council, Prof. Shehu Zuru and others on the appointment of Prof. Rim-Rukeh as Vice-Chancellor, FUPRE, Effurun.
The Union in a statement by the President-General, Chief Pius Idoghor, 1st Vice PG, Chief John Omoware and Secretary-General, Chief (Dr.) Emmanuel E. Oniyama on behalf of the Ovu Council of Chiefs and Elders and the entire Ovu community congratulated Prof. Rim-Rukeh on his new appointment.
The statement had expressed deep appreciation to President Muhammadu Buhari, Deputy President of the Senate, Sen. Ovie Omo-Agege and a host of others for their roles and immense contribution in the appointment of their illustrious son.
While congratulating Prof. Rim-Rukeh on his well-deserved appointment as the 4th FUPRE’s Vice-Chancellor, the union also expressed explicit confidence that the Ovu community has no doubt that his new assignment as Vice-Chancellor; FUPRE will attract meaningful development and academic excellence to the great institution considering his pedigree.
The union had appealed to the management and non-academic staff of the institution to give him the maximum supports to succeed in his onerous task and that is their prayers that God almighty to grant him the wisdom of King Solomon, guide and protect him all through his administration.
