…Delta PDP is like a deflating balloon, soon will be empty -Edojah

The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP in Delta State Wednesday suffered a major setback as its immediate past State Assistant Publicity Secretary, Chief Christopher Obiuwevbi defected to the All Progressives Congress, APC with over 2000 of his supporters.
Addressing a mammoth crowd at Agbarha-Otor at an event to formerly welcome him to the party, Chief Obiuwevbi who is also a former commissioner on the board of the Delta State Oil Producing Area Development Commission, DESOPADEC, said: “APC has no governor in Delta State, neither does it have commissioners, or political appointees in the state. So, we are not coming to the party to make money but to build it and it’s on this bases that we would galvanize for the party in what I term APCinization.
“I and my supporters are in APC because of the love I have for Buhari. President Buhari nominated an Urhobo son as representative on the board of the Niger Delta Development Commission; this goes a long way to show that the future of the Urhobo nation is in APC.”
Welcoming Chief Obiuwevbi and his supporters to the party, the state party chairman, Jones Erue and leader of the party in the state, Olorogun O’Tega Emerhor, whom were represented by Hon. Solomon Edojah, said: “What we are witnessing here today is a reflection of the fact that PDP is fast becoming a deflating balloon.
“We are here not only to welcome our brother to the APC, but to boost the registration exercise of the APC in Ughelli North constituency II.”
He added that with the moving over of Ominimini and his followers into the APC, the PDP is completely rooted out of Ughelli North constituency II and Agbarha-Otor, addng that the future of the Urhoboman and Deltans politically is in the APC.
Hon. Edojah also stated that PDP in Delta is a political dynasty that serves only the selfish interest of the few, to the detriment of majority of Deltans.
