… Adjogbe assures of equitable distribution of dividend of Democracy

The All Progressives Congress, (APC) Evwreni Ward 8 in Ughelli North LGA on Saturday received over 300 PDP members who decamped to the APC at a meeting of the Ward leaders and members.
The APC Evwreni Ward 8 Chairman, Mr Clever Owhe, who received decampees to the party emphasised the need for all members of the party to actively participate in the ongoing voters’ registration process to ensure that they are not disenfranchised during the local government and 2019 general election.
Speaking earlier, the Executive Director Projects, Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) Engr. Samuel Adjogbe, speaking during the meeting assured party faithfuls of equitable distribution of empowerment schemes and programs in the Niger Delta region.
According to the EDP; “No state would be left out, qualified indigenes of Evwreni shall benefit from NDDC empowerment programs like scholarships, youth empowerment schemes, agro allied packages and so on”.
The EDP who charged party faithfuls to be united, also encouraged them to key into the ongoing shift from the Oil and gas sector to Agriculture by going into commercial farming.
“On a final note, I also encourage everyone to support the mandate of Mr President so that the dividends of democracy would be fully actualized”, Adjogbe stated.
According to Mr Owhe the registration of the party members would boost the party’s fortune in the forthcoming elections as more members would then be able to exercise their right to vote.
The Ward Chairman also lauded Mr President for appointing a technocrat from his Ward, to man the esteemed office of the Executive Director Projects in NDDC.
In his words, “It is a thing of pride for me, for Mr President to appoint a person from my ward as EDP. His appointment remains a round peg in a round hole”.
Mr lement Ishaka, a committed APC grassroot member, indicated his intention to contest for the councillorship position of Evwreni Ward 8, in Ughelli North Local Government Area and also solicited for support in the forth come LG election.
Other notable APC leaders at the meeting include Chief Donatus Ubah, Hon Ochuko Kumane, Hon Imoh David and a host of others.
