Osanebi empowers constituents with N2.5M for SMSE

Osanebi, who has resorted to visiting his constituents in churches to fellowship with them, was today in Ibrede, Ward nine, Ndokwa East.

Parishioners of St Luke’s Anglican Church, Ibrede were stunned when they saw him entering the church building with his bible in his hand to worship with them.

During the service, the deputy speaker was specially prayed for and later given the podium to address the highly elated church.

He thanked God for the lives of his people in Ibrede and Ward nine in general and further charged them not to relent in their support and prayers for the Governor Okowa led administration of Delta State.

He said: “Prayers must be said always for us in government so that God will continue to give us the wisdom to represent and lead well”.

He also called on the youths and entire Ibrede community to draw closer to God, the only source of true joy and peace.

He further revealed to the parishioners that he is committed to eradicating poverty in his constituency to enhance the prosperity of the people, and very keen at boosting small and medium scale enterprises.

As in the case of Christ Embassy, Beneku when he worshiped with the constituents there, market women were selected, representing the units/communities in the ward and later interviewed them to ascertain their business choices and challenges, and according to their individual requests, cheques totaling N2.5 million Naira was issued to the women and encouraged to begin business as quick as possible.

Speaking to news men after the church service, Osanebi noted that the gesture was to help the less privileged and further propagate Governor Okowa’s prosperity gospel .

Some of the women that are beneficiaries of the Deputy Speaker’s magnanimity include: Macurley  Eloho, Afere Esther, Ifago Helen, Mrs Egwili Endurance, Okoro Joy ,Ogholo Patricia, Okodu Sandra and , Ogbere Rita. Others include Eture Helen, Okeme Gladys, Okeme  Itive,  Apkoboro Gladys, Abu Grace , Juliana Imonikaro, and , Rose Oso, Catherine Aterurma, Josephine Etuche, Izi Loveth,Faith Ozegbe, Abigial Benson, Juan Indoni, Oghenekome Warri.

The beneficiaries were stunned at the gesture and promised to make judicious use of the money and also prayed for the deputy speaker.

Osanebi, also gave academic scholarship to Owhoferie Lauretha a student who worshiped in the church on Sunday.

Some dignitaries present at the church service include: Comr. Nnamdi Ezechi, Commissioner representing Ndokwa ethnic nationality on the board of the Delta State Oil Producing Area Development Commission (DESOPADEC), Hon. Alex Aniche, SA to Governor Okowa, Mr. Jerry Iliroma, SSA to governor, PDP chairman, Ndokwa East, Chief Ugo Asibelua and other top government functionaries.
