In a media chat, Prince Ogieve 1, who is a Chief Priest, asserted that those who will eventually emerge as chairmen and councillors should be prepared to embark on massive turnaround of the fortunes of the localities in tune with the desire of the Omo N’Oba to bring good tidings to the people wherever they may be.

“The Omo N’Oba, who is my father, has been a blessing to humanity. His time on the throne has brought forth positive developments to the state.

“Thus politicians aspiring to get the mandate of the people to manage the affairs of the local government councils should be told that His Royal Majesty, Omo N’Oba N’Edo’s dreams for a progressive and developed Edo State should not be tampered with on the altar of bad governance.”

Going further, he stressed: “Such politicians should endeavour to be truthful in all their undertakings if they are desirous of ensuring that the Oba’s divine blessings abide with them always.

“Presently, Edo State is witnessing advancement in all sectors because of the Oba’s blessings coupled with the good governance mantra of Governor Godwin Neghoghase Obaseki.

“This is a development that calls for praise. Edo State has never been this blessed.”

In conclusion, Prince Ogieve 1 appealed to all the political gladiators to go about their campaigns without rancour.

“After all, we are all brothers interested in imparting on the lives of our people in one way or the other.”
