Man 23, killed by rival cult group for dumping it for another gang

A 23-year old man named Ufuoma Tega has been allegedly killed by rampaging rival cult groups at the Okwagbe community in Ughelli South, Delta State for allegedly leaving the group which has been terrorizing Okwagbe and its environs to join another gang.

ADVOCATE gather that Tega, a father of two, had renounced his membership of his former cult group, but not too long; he decided to join another gang in the town, this according to our source angered his former cult members.

The source added that some of the leaders of his former gang allegedly lured in to a place for settlement, but instead he was severely beaten with dangerous weapons, leading to his death.

Police however swung into action immediately with the help of Okwagbe vigilante men, but are yet to apprehend the suspects.

According to police source who confirm the incident to us, he stated that the police have already launched a manhunt to search the whereabouts of the fleeing hoodlums.

At the time of filing this report tega’s corpse has been deposited at the mortuary of General Hospital Otu-Jeremi.
