Speaking Separately at Asaba, capital of Delta State after Imarah collected his Chairmanship nomination form, Prof. Andrew Ekatitie, Chief Julius Ogboru and Chief Victor Ewere, stated that Imarah posses a credible political credentials that could not be matched by any other candidate.

When asked why he is supporting Imarah candidacy, Prof. Ekatitie lamented that poverty and deprivation permeates the local government due to the PDP-led state government neglect over the years.

According to him; “I am a pioneer member of PDP in Ethiope East, but unfortunately we saw gangsterism undoing that party, hence we left the party to the APC. Imarah is a man who has empowered so many youths in the Local Government.”

He added that, “Ethiope East has been in darkness, and some people are preaching continuity, we can’t continue in darkness and poverty. So, we brought him to savage the people of Ethiope East.

“My only plea is that the people of Ethiope East should embrace this good opportunity by supporting Imarah, so that we can leave backwardness that permeated our land.”

On his part, Chief Julius Ogbrou said that Imarah is a God-fearing man, loved by all, including members of the PDP, but because PDP as a party does not know what is good and does not appreciate good people, he left them to APC, and that is why they are supporting him.

“With Imarah running for chairmanship in Ethiope East, the days of PDP are numbered. By January 6, 2018, PDP will cease to exist in Ethiope East,” he added.

Engr. Victor on his part stated that by the time Imarah is through in his first term in office, Ethiope East LG will become the envy of many Nigerians.

According to him, “Imarah is a sellable candidate; we know the condition that permeates Ethiope East at the moment. 20 years of PDP rule, the people of Ethiope East has suffered deprivations beyond description.

“And we know that Alex Imarah, a business guru will succeed in bringing Ethiope East out of the wood, and I can assure you that 3years from now, out of 774 LGs, Ethiope East will stand out as the pride to Nigeria.”

Speaking earlier, Chief Alex Imarah stated that power belongs to God, and God does His things at the right time, and that it is now time for the right man to sit as the chairman of Ethiope East LGA.

According to him, “You will recall that at creation, the earth was void and without form, God decreed that let there be light and there was light, and that is the state of Ethiope East, today God has decree that there should be light in Ethiope East and the bearer of that light is myself, Prince Alex Otuene Sunny Imarah.”

“God has heard our prayers, the people of Ethiope East have been oppressed, deprived and marginalized over the years by successive administration in Delta state, but all that is about to change.

“Though, DESIC election is controlled by the state, we have a Governor who emerge through a free and fair party primaries, I believe he is going to do the right thing by allowing a free and fair election so that the decree of God will come to pass in Ethiope East.

“I know that the heart of kings belongs to God, God will touch his heart and all DESIC officials, all I am asking for, is a free and fair election. When that is done, whatever is the outcome, I will abide by it.

“But if anybody tries to do anything contrary to that, the person will face the wrath of God, and our people will resist any unlawful act by the officials and we are prepared to go to every length within the limits of the law,” he added.
