Elections are difficult to win in Delta Central- Gov. Okowa affirms

UGHELLI- GOVERNOR Ifeanyi Okowa of Delta State has acknowledged that elections in Delta Central are always difficult to win as it is the stronghold of the opposition parties.
Receiving over 200 APC members who defected to the PDP in Ughelli Township Stadium on Wednesday, September 12, the governor who was visibly elated, thanked the decampees for making positive and right decision for coming back to the PDP promising that they will never regret their decision and called on them to talk to others who are still ignorants.
While  expressing his profound gratitude to the PDP family in Delta Central, Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa urged them to continue telling the good work of the party especially to the people of Delta Cebtral. In his words; “I know elections in Delta Central are always difficult, but we will win them”.
“Though some of our brothers and sisters in other political parties are talking  and using propaganda, none of them can stand me in an election because they don’t have the experience i have in politics”, he said.
Speaking further, the Governor assured that the PDP will win the 2019 election convincingly as the performance of the administration is so glaring that it will speak for the party.
He stated that at Delta South, the PDP do not have a rival but if any, he believed they will still come back to the PDP and appeal to Deltans to vote the PDP to ensure purposeful representation.
He congratulated the decampees which included Col. Morrison Ideh, Rtrd. of Ughelli South Local Government, Mr. Reuben Oteri and others for coming back to reality. He promised that they will be well accomodated in the party.
Describing the decampees, the Governor noted that they are big catch for the PDP, “I know a big fish when I see one”.
The PDP Delta Central rally attracted a mammoth crowed of party faithful, aspirants to both state and federal houses of assembly and their supporters, top government functionaries, PDP leaders and elders, as well as well wishers of the party.
