DELTA IPP PROJECT: Am Ready for Probe -Ochei ***DavNotch is a Juristic Personality

Victor Ochei have stated that against the outcry in some quarters over the attempt by the House to probe the Delta State Independent Power Project (IPP), Oghara, Ethiope West Local Government Area, that he is ready to account for his actions while in office as a public officer.Rt. The former speaker who is a major shareholders’ in DavNotch Nigeria Limited, a company handling IPP project which the state government has allegedly spent N27billion on; said that he knew that at as some point you will be call to question as a public servant, and therefore ready for a probe.

Ochei, while answering questions from some Journalists at Asaba, weekend, over the attempt by the Delta State House of Assembly to probe the IPP project awarded to his company, stated that just like everyone else, he heard the report too, but have not been formally notify by the House in that regard.

According to him, “I have had the privilege of heading the House of Assembly and to the best of my knowledge; if the House wants probe anyone, they will write you, but as we speak, I have not seen any letter to me as a person and I have not been informed by company ether.”

“The last time I heard that spokesman of the House, said that they are just carrying out their oversight function.

Asked if he is ready to face probe when invited by the house, he has this to say: “As a public officer, I know that at some point, you must be called to be questioned about your actions in office, so am ready for a probe. Call me any day, am ready to answer for my actions in office.”

“As, far as I know, I don’t have any issue with them, but if they have issue with a company I have interest, they should meet with the company. People should know that there is different between Ochei and the company DavNotch which was incorporated in 1999, DavNotch is a juristic personality”, he added.
