DELTA 2019: APC‘ll form the next government, says Chief Kowho …As Ochei visits Delta Central APC leaders

The Chairman of Delta Central Elders and Leaders Council, a pressure group in the All Progressives Congress (APC),  Delta State chapter, Chief Sylvester Kowho has stated that APC will form the next government in the state come 2019.

Chief Kowho at meeting of the group held at his residence in Effurun-Warri, noted that all along the opposition had always won elections in the state but because, they were in a micro party, their victory were always stolen, nothing that come 2019, APC will sweep PDP and it bad government out of the state.

The former speaker of the state House of Assembly, Hon. Victor Ochei, in what could be interpreted in some quarters as a political move ahead of 2019, sent his form director general of his governorship campaign organization, Olorogun George Oyefia to represent him.

Speaking on Ochei’s visit, Chief Sylvester Kowho, Chief Moses Ayeni and Col. Morris Ideh (rtd) stated that as elders in the APC, they are open to all well meaning APC members, adding that the Ochei’s visit is to fraternize with them and nothing more.

On how well the party is positioned in the state ahead of 2019 in Delta, Chief Kowho has this to say: “PDP in Delta are already aware that they have been swept out, they are jittery now over the impending political doom that will befall them come 2019.

“Deltans have been crying for change of this bad leadership, and in the past we have always won elections, but because we were in a micro party without national support our victory were stolen. Now that we have fussed into the APC, we shall form the government come 2019.”

Col. Morris Ideh (rtd) on his part said that by the visit of Ochei through his representative, it has shown that Hon. Ochei has leadership qualities and a man that can be trusted; therefore, the group is willing to work with him.

Speaking also, Chief Emmanuel Ogobene, stated that Delta is a state with three families, comprising Delta North, Central and South. And since Delta Central and South had rule the state Eight years each, it is proper for Delta North to be allowed to complete its two terms too, but in this case through an APC government.

According to him; “ for fairness and equity, Delta north must complete its two term, but there must be a change of government, because Dr. Okowa has also failed the people of Delta north, as the state is completely in shamble, today no one is proud to say he is from Delta state, an oil producing state.

“Delta APC will field a credible, competent and God fearing person from Delta north who will not reneged on the one term agreement to complete the 2^nd term of the people of Delta north, but this time on the platform of the APC.”

Earlier in his remark Hon. Victor Ochei, represented by Olorogun Oyefia stated that he came to identify with the group following the calibers of persons in the group and also to familiarize himself with APC leaders across the state following the coming together of the progressives in the state.

The former speaker, added he is proud to identify with them, and would love to meet them personally in the nearest future in order for them to interact together on how best to the position the party in state.
