Cultists kill 26-year-old Otefe student in Oghara

A 26-year-old student of Delta State Polytechnic, Otefe Oghara in Ethiope West Local Government Area of Delta State, Ochuko Frank has been reportedly hacked to death by suspected cultists.

Advocate.ng gathered that the incident which occurred on Saturday night outside a popular hotel in the community has created tension in the area.

According to a community source, who craved anonymity, told our reporter that Frank who sat for exams yesterday morning went to see a lecturer who had sent for him in an hotel in the community, “he was returning back when he was attacked by group of men who were wading cutlasses and axe, who killed him and dumped his body somewhere in the community.”

Another source, who simply called himself Avweroso said alleged that late Frank was a member of Aro – Baga and he was dating a girl, who also dating another cultist from Aiye, “they almost fought in school some time ago, so I think his death is a cult related issue.”

When contacted for comments, the Spokesman for Delta State Police Command, Onome Onowakpoyeya, confirmed the report “yes, a young man at the polytechnic, Otefe Oghara was killed yesterday and the police are investigating the killing”
