Court orders police to produce 4 suspects allegedly involved in the case of arson in Evwreni

A High Court in Delta State sitting at Ughelli, presided over by Justice Joshua Edu has ordered the Ughelli Divisional Police Officer, ‘B division’ to produce four suspects allegedly involved in the case of arson in Evwreni, Ughelli North local government Area of Delta State.

This followed an application brought by the State counsel, Barr Peter Daubru, who argued that the accused persons; Ese Emonena, Mrabure, Adolf Hitler and others have been absent from the court since they were charged almost 7 months ago.

However, counsel to Hon Ezekiel Odeimor, councillor representing Evwreni community, one of the accused did not oppose the application.

The judge, therefore, ordered the police to produce the accused persons on the next adjourned date.

It will be recalled that the Ughelli B division granted bail to suspects on self-recognition who were accused of arson, but have been unable to bring them to court to continue their trial.
