APC RECONCILIATORY COMMITTEE MEETING IN DELTA HUGE SUCCESS- APC CHIEFTAINS

Some chieftains of the All Progressive Congress, APC, Delta State, have described the meeting of the ‘facts finding and reconciliatory committee’ of the party held in Ughelli, Delta State yesterday as a huge success.DELTA APC LEADERS

Speaking to newsmen separately Chief Solomon Edoja, Olorogun Jaro Egbo and Chief Adelebu Bodjour, noted that it is a new dawn for the APC in Delta state, as the party will come out stronger in subsequent elections.

Edoja, a former House of Representative member, noted that the reconciliatory move recommended by the APC governorship candidate Olorogun O’tega Emerhor will go a long way in repositioning the party ahead of the imminent re-run election in the state.

He noted that the crisis in the party in Delta state were caused by some APC members in Diaspora, who never believed that President Buhari was going to win, but now are trying to come back home to gain ground.

Edoja added that the second groups are the APC members at home, who worked for the PDP in the last election and those who were planted by the PDP to create faction in the party to give them room to negotiate for appointment.

He stated further that no genuine member of APC should go about talking ill of the party and its candidates, stressing that those speaking ill of the party candidates in the last election are people planted in the party by the PDP to create crisis, because they know that should re-run be ordered, APC will sweep Delta state.

“Where were these people now running to Abuja to lie against Olorogun Emerhor, when he single-handedly funded the party in Delta state? My brother without Emerhor; APC would have been dead in Delta, truth must be told.

“So, I want genuine members of the APC in Delta to rally round Emerhor who is the party leader in the state, there is more to gain if we all unite behind Emerhor, than running to Abuja for our individual gain,” he added.

Speaking also, Jaro Egbo described the meeting as very vibrant because Ughelli is the epicenter of Delta politics, noting that the Ughelli federal constituency and Uvwie local government, “have resolved to rally round our leader Olorogun O’tega Emerhor

He added that those agitating for the Exco to be dissolved are agents of the PDP who want to plant their stooge who will do PDP bidding in order to undermine the fortune of the APC in Delta state.

Chief Adelebu Bodjour on his part added that APC is stronger now and will take over Delta state should a re-run be order by the court. He therefore urged APC members across the state to market the party as PDP has failed woefully in the past 16 year of poor governance.
