The leader of the All Progressives Congress, APC in Delta State and the party governorship candidate in the 2015 election, Olorogun O’tega Emerhor has said that it will be difficult for the party not to support Rev. Francis Ejiroghene Waive’s aspiration because of the constituency which he represents.

The APC leader stated this when Rev. Waive, a Federal House of Representatives aspirant for the Ughelli North, Ughelli South and Udu Federal Constituency on the platform of APC, paid a consultative visit to Emerhor at his country home at Evwreni, Ughelli North council area on Sunday.

He noted that with the recent adoption of Rev. Waive by Christian Association Nigerian, CAN, in Delta central chapter as their candidate for House of Representatives, it will be out of place to ignore Waive’s aspiration.

According to Emerhor, “When APC came to Delta State a lot of Christians called the party so many unprintable names, but some men of God gave us audience to tell them what the party stands for and with that, we began to gain traction and acceptance.

“We are also aware that in this part of the country, Christians are over 90% of the voting population and with a man who was also engaged in student activism, we believe Rev Wavie is not going into an unknown turf. And his joining us will add huge value to the party.

While assuring Rev. Waive of the support of Mainstream Delta APC, (MDA), Emerhor enjoined him to be steadfast in his quest, adding that because people always struggle for anything that is good, Waive has to work hard to earn the support of the leadership of party.

Earlier Rev. Waive lamented the near absence of representation of the Ughelli North, Ughelli South and Udu Federal Constituency at the House of Representative over the years.

He promised to give the constituency efficient and effective representation if elected into the House of Rep, adding that he will be a loyal party member and will not be an absentee representative.

In the entourage of Rev Wavie includes, Arch Bishop Solomon Gbakara, Pastor Israel Unutame, Rev. Joshua Dede, Chief Peter Mukoro, Frank Waive, Comrade Austin Ohwofaria, Capt Daniel Ophori, Chief Jackson Urhiewhu, Goddey Gagan, Comrade Shedrack Onitsha and a host of others.

Receiving them with Olorogun Emerhor were Chief Tuesday Onoge, MDA National Coordinator; Chief Fred Olokor, Barr. Emmanuel Pippa, Engr. Eric Egere, Mudiaga Okorefe, Monday Oyeghe, Chief Voke Oshasha and others.
