Agas To Deliver 2022 edition of Maris Annual Public Service Lecture

Maris Trust Council has announced that after a rigorous search for who will deliver the year 2022 edition of Maris Annual Public Service Lecture,  a renowned lawmaker, political strategist and an administrator of no mean repute, Rt. Hon. Festus Ovie Agas has been unveiled as the guest speaker.

Rt. Hon. Agas is present, the Chief of Staff to Governor Ifeanyi Okowa of Delta State.

Unveiling the guest speaker in Asaba, Delta State on Tuesday,  Secretary to Maris Trust Council, Comrade Fidelis Egugbo, disclosed that the selection of the guest speaker for this year’s edition of the annual lecture was a tough one.

He noted that the Chairman of the Trust Council,  Chief Kenneth Olise FCA, and members of the Council worked round the clock to choose someone with the charisma, intelligence, and high level of accessibility and accessibility to deliver the lecture.

Egugbo said, “gentlemen, my colleagues in the Fourth Estate of the Realm, today, we are happy to announce the guest speaker for this year’s edition of Maris Annual Public Service Lecture, in the person of a soft-spoken, intelligent, smart and well-exposed lawmaker, administrator, political strategist, family man, Rt. Hon. Festus Ovie Agas.

“2022 is a political year ahead of the 2023 general elections, so, a lot of factors were considered and Rt. Hon.  Agas emerged among the names presented.

“As a man who was the Deputy Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly, served as Secretary to the Delta State Government (SSG), became the Chief Strategist before his emergence as the Chief of Staff to Delta State Government,  he has vast knowledge about the workings of government,  the society and how to deepen Nigeria’s democracy.

“Rt. Hon. Agas who has accepted to deliver the lecture is happily married and in the next few days, we shall be giving you more details as the lecture will hold on its traditional date of Wednesday before Easter Sunday, that is, for this year’s edition, it shall hold on Wednesday,  April 13 to the glory of God.”
