Evelyn Oboro is a lawmaker that stands by her words, adding that few days before the conference, they received a call from her that the Adeje transformer was one of her numerous constituency projects, and that she will come to explain in details of how she influenced the project to the community.

“And really she has come to do that for us with evidences before us that the transformer was actually given to us by her. We have been saying it time without number that if we have just two of her type in Urhobo nation, we will definitely move forward because just for Adeje community alone, she built a cottage hospital, Water project and a 500KVA transformer”, they said.

While thanking her on behalf of the Adeje people for the provision of the 500KVA transformer and other previous completed projects, they promised on behalf of the Adeje community to vote for Hon. Evelyn Oboro as Delta central senator come 2019 to enable them benefit more from her.

Earlier, on her part, Hon. Evelyn Oboro promised to do her best to ensure that Adeje community gets its own fair share from her numerous constituencies and influenced projects.

She noted, “In my first term I brought health centre to Adeje community, while in this my second term, I, in conjunction with the Supervisor for Environment, Okpe Local Government Area, Mr. Lucky Ofominyor built the water project in between the community town hall and the market, so that traders can easily access portable water”.

“The recent one was the 500KVA transformer which I requested for on behalf of Adeje community as your representative and it was approved and later it was awarded. And I told the contractor to follow the local content law and ensure that indigenes of the community were employed during the construction and installation process, which he did. But last week when he brought the transformer, I was in abroad to represent the National Assembly for an International Women’s Day programme, the contractor tried to call me to no avail, only for me to hear that someone want to claim my glory”, she added.

She revealed that the transformers that she influenced to her constituency were three, one for Alaka, one for Adeje and one for Sapele, representing the three Local Government Areas of Uvwie, Okpe and Sapele that made up her constituency, “so don’t be deceived by any false claimant, I influenced the Adeje transformer, not any other person”, she said.
