Acronis Cyber protect Cloud: A “Vaccine” option for Cyber threats

Acronis, announced today the global launch of Acronis Cyber Protect Cloud, the first and unique cyber protection solution that integrates backup, disaster recovery, next-generation anti-malware, anti-virus, cybersecurity and management tools all in one single console. It delivers AI-powered integration of data protection and cybersecurity and empowers users to address modern cyber threats. This the result of an effort from Acronis R&D centres (Schaffhausen, Sofia and Singapore): 500 developers and analysts.

“Traditional backup is dead because it is not secure enough, and traditional anti-viruses do not protect data from modern cyber threats. AV-Test.org, the respected German security institute known for putting malware security solutions through rigorous testing, ran a pre-release version of Acronis Cyber Protect Cloud in March 2020 on a  computer running Windows 10 Professional English 64-bit. AV-Test tested both the status and dynamic detection rates of Acronis Cyber Protect Cloud, scanning a set of 6932 malicious Windows executable (PE) files, and Acronis scored perfectly with a verified 100% detection rate, while in the false-positive test, Acronis again delivered a perfect result, causing zero false positives: more information here.
