Senator Nwaoboshi’s defection to APC, a welcome development – Adjogbe

A Chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, (APC) and a former Executive Director Projects of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), Engr. Dr. Samuel Adjogbe has described the defection of the Senator representing Delta North Senatorial District, Senator Peter Nwaoboshi, from the Peoples Democratic Party, (PDP) to APC, as a welcomed development.

Senator Peter Nwaoboshi who was received by President Muhammadu Buhari, his Vice, Professor Yemi Osinbajo SAN, Deputy Senate President, Senator Ovie Omo-Agege and the National Caretaker/Extraordinary Convention Planning Committee (CECPC) Chairman at the State House, Abuja, had defected to the APC, following his purported suspension by the State Working Committee of the PDP on Wednesday.

Adjogbe in a statement issued through his Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, Ughere Daniel, said: “as a two-time serving Senator who has held several positions, Senator Peter Nwaoboshi comes with an immense wealth of industry, capacity and experience to the fold of the Progressives.

“I welcome him to our great party and I enjoin all Party faithful to rally around him with support and cooperation, especially our members in Delta North in particular and Nigeria at large.”
