Kylian Mbappe makes Real Madrid transfer request

The French forward is entering the final year of his Paris Saint Germain contract, and still eyes a potential switch to Real Madrid, with Liverpool set to miss out.

It was a rare sight on Saturday night as Kylian Mbappe’s name was acknowledged with boos around the Parc De Princes, before Paris Saint Germain beat Strasbourg 4-2.

Mbappe is entering the final year of his contract and although the French talent cost PSG a monstrous €180million (£153million), he could walk away for free at the end of the season.

The French side recently became one of the most formidable forces within world football with Lionel Messi joining their ranks, but it seems Mbappe may still see his future elsewhere.

Liverpool have been long-term admirers of the forward, but it seems Real Madrid is his most likely destination.

Mbappe is stalling on signing a new contract in the French capital, which is frustrating fans and figures associated with the club, casting major doubts over his immediate future at PSG.

On Sunday night, reports from TV channel, El Chiringuito, suggested that Mbappe wants to meet PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi to ask him to negotiate a move to Real Madrid.

This is despite PSG signing Messi to form one of the most threatening front three’s of all time, and also adding former Real Madrid veteran Sergio Ramos to their defence.

The club has also signed Gianluigi Donnarumma, Georginio Wijnaldum and Achraf Hakimi this summer, making them one of the most attractive sides in Europe, but Mbappe still looks prepared to turn his back on the French side, in favour of becoming the main man elsewhere.

However, financial issues among Spanish sides could make the move difficult, but Madrid could potentially make an exception for the generational talent.
