By Angela James,

Chairman, Edo State Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs, Alhaji Abdulazeez Igbinidu has charged Muslim faithful to imbibe the lessons learnt during Ramadan.

He gave the advice on the occasion of the Eid-el-Fitri celebration in Benin, Edo State.

The Muslim leader urged Muslims to continue in prayers and all the act of worship they observed in the month of Ramadam.

He also implored them to continue in alms giving, kindness, leniency and other good deeds, as the month of Ramadan is not only meant to observe good deeds but to practice good acts at all time.

Alhaji Igbinidu called on Muslims to use the occasion to pray for peace and stability in the country.

On the state of insecurity in the country, Alhaji Igbinidu called on President Muhammadu Buhari and other political office holders to remember that there is nothing beyond Almighty Allah.

He called on the political leaders to encourage Nigerians to cry out to God if they have used all the resources within their power to no avail in fighting insecurity.
The Muslim leader expressed the hope that when Nigerians are more prayerful and closer to God, the problem of insecurity would be reduced to the barest minimum.

Eid-el-Fitri is a festival celebrated by Muslims after the completion of the fasting in the month of Ramadan.
