DIDA boss, Nmah mourns the death of Pa Okowa, Owhefere

The Chairman, Delta State Investments Development Agency (DIDA), Hon. Paul Nmah has expressed shock over the news of the deaths of Pa Arthur Okorie Okowa, Governor Ifeanyi Okowa’s father and Hon. Tim Owhefere, the Majority leader of the Delta State House of Assembly.

 

Nmah in a press release described Pa Okowa, who passed on at 88; as a community leader, a kind-hearted man and a father to all.

 

According to him, “we will surely miss his fatherly words of wisdom and I want to use this opportunity to commiserate with His Excellency, Sen. Dr. IfeanyiOkowa and the entire people of Delta State over this great loss.”

 

Nmah equally commiserated with the members of the Delta State House of Assembly over the demise of their Majority Leader, Hon. Tim Owhefere.

 

He said that Hon. Tim Owhefere a fourth-term lawmaker, representing Isoko North Constituency at the Delta State House of Assembly and a member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) who died at the age of 57 will be greatly missed by all for his dexterity as an astute lawmaker.

 

According to him, he had barely absorbed the sad news of Hon. Owhefere’s death when he received that of Pa Okowa. He described it as a double tragedy for the State and a big loss for all Deltans and prayed to God to grant their souls eternal rest.

 

In a related development Olorogun Lucky Oghene-Omoru, the Director-General DIDA said that the sad news of the deaths of Pa Arthur Okorie Okowa and that of Hon. Tim Owhefere came to him as a great shock.

 

He enjoined the entire Okowa family to take solace in the fact that their Patriarch, Pa Arthur OkorieOkowa lived a fulfilled life and impacted positively in the lives of all that came across him.

 

H said that Pa Okowa was a Chief of Orogun Kingdom in Ughelli L.G.A. and would be missed by not only his children, family and Delta State but also by all Orogun people as well.

 

Olorogun Oghene-Omoru prayed Almighty God to grant the soul of Pa Okowa eternal rest as he rests in the bosom of the Lord.
