Delta 2023: Majemite calls for support, says he is the best person to take over from Okowa

Ahead of the 2023 governorship election in Delta, a frontline Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Governorship aspirant, Olorogun Fred Okiemute Majemite has called on the party leaders and is faithful to support his guber quest, stating that he is most qualified to take over from Senator (Dr.) Ifeanyi Okowa as Governor, come 2023.

Majemite who has contested for the Senate on two occasions was prevailed by the party leader to step down, he made this known while declaring his intention to contest the Delta State 2023 governorship to the leadership and members of Delta Central 2023 lobby group.

He added that in terms of education, experience and support for the party, he remains the best, having remained and contributed to the growth of the party in the State.

He noted that apart from his qualifications and political experience, he also decided to contest for the Delta State governorship seat, come 2023 because it’s the turn of Delta Central Senatorial District to produce the next Governor of the State.

He said; “I decided to contest the governorship seat because it is the turn of Delta Central Senatorial District to produce the next Governor of Delta state.

“In time past, I contested for the Senate where I was asked to step down and I obeyed the party. I believe that it is my time to be Governor of Delta State.

“I am eminently qualified in terms of education, dedication to party activities and support for others. So, I urge you all (members of DC-23) to support my ambition to be Governor of the State, come 2023 because I will not disappoint you and Deltans.

“I remain the best for the governorship seat, come 2023 because I have been a State Commissioner twice, political adviser and special adviser and members of several Committee of the party”, he added.
