DC-23 felicitates with Dame Edith Okowa on her 60th birthday anniversary

Executives and members of Delta Central 2023 felicitates with the First Lady of Delta State, Dame (Mrs.) Edith Okowa, on her 60th birthday anniversary on Tuesday 1, June, 2021.

In the birthday message to the wife of the Chairman of South South Governors’ Forum, DC-23 stated in a statement that:”We are particularly happy with the life of service you have led so far,” noting that as the Chairperson of ‘05 Initiative,’ the governor’s wife has reached out to the orphans, those in prison and some medically challenged persons.

The statement signed by DC-23 National Chairman, Senator (Chief) Ighoyota Amori and National Publicity Secretary; Olorogun Arthur Akpowowo said it was heartening to note that Mrs. Okowa has also taken good care of numerous sicle cells patients and widows as part of her charitable undertakings.

The group urged the First Lady to continue in her invaluable support to her husband, Governor Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa as he continue to bring change to Delta.

DC-23 also enjoined her to “strive to do more for widows and the less privileged members of the society at a time the country is going through painful but unintended consequences of change.

“On behalf of the people of Delta Central, we congratulate you on your birthday, we pray God to continue to bless and protect your family as you strive to make our state a better place for us all”, it added.
