African Elites Int’l School celebrates graduation ceremony in grand style

The Proprietress of African Elites International School, Mrs R.E Okotcha has stressed the importance of punctuality, a balanced diet and the Speaking of good English to Wards at home by parents.    

She said the importance of a balanced diet in the development of the child can never be overemphasized stressing that a well-fed child has an unmatchable advantage and edge over their malnourished counterparts.

On the importance of punctuality to school and the speaking of good English to children at home, she said it has the inherent advantages of quick assimilation, confidence-building and boldness on the part of students and pupils.

Mrs Okotcha, an educationalist and administrator of no mean repute stated this Saturday during the Speech/Graduation Day ceremony of the school held in Asaba.

The Proprietress who is the immediate past Headteacher of Uzoigwe Primary School Asaba highlighted some distinct features of the school to include; School Clinic, Dedicated/qualified staff, Mandatory note/school books, School family card for security, Curriculum that emphasises entrepreneurship, Extra curriculum activities among others.

The school is located in a serene environment along Ibusa Road, Asaba is home to both the children of the poor and the rich.

On what gave birth to the school and her vision, the proud owner of one of the leading private schools in Asaba has this to say, “This idea was conceived long ago when I was still in the service of the Delta State Government. And as a teacher and Headteacher for several years, I thought to myself what will I do with the reservoir of experience and knowledge acquired over these years on retirement. It was this consistent thought in my mind then that gave birth to this ‘baby’ we are celebrating today.”

As for her vision, she said “My dream is to continue to build, design, develop and equip this edifice academically, humanly, infrastructurally until it is known beyond the shores of this country”. She said.

The ceremony attended by who is who in society especially from the educational sector had Talk Show which focuses on “Origin of COVID 19 and its impact on Nigerians especially the young” And a debate with the topic ” Education and Yahoo: Which is more profitable? Others were; Cultural display, Quiz competition, Dance by teachers, Presentation of awards to deserving pupils and students, cutting of cake among others.
