Pa Ekabo was a good man who related well with the people, says Rev Father Igho

Episcopal vicar of Saint Patrick’s Catholic Church Sapele, Rev Father Christopher Ekabo, flanked by some PDP leaders during his father’s burial

The Very Reverend father Jude Igho of Saint Michael’s Catholic Church Umutu, Delta State charged Christians to emulate late PA Chief Ekabo Richard Bademu Vwavwarehe, whom he said was a good man who related well with the people and was committed to the things of God.   

He stated this during the Requiem Mass for the burial ceremony of his late father PA Chief Ekabo Richard Bademu Vwavwarehe, the father of Episcopal vicar of Saint Patrick’s Catholic Church Sapele, Rev Father Christopher Ekabo, on Thursday, at Saint Patrick Catholic Church Okwagbe, in Ughelli South Local Government Area of Delta State.

PA Chief Ekabo Richard Bademu Vwavwarehe, who is also the Ogba Erhovwo of Ughienvwen kingdom is father of Rev Father Christopher Ekabo, the Episcopal vicar of Saint Patrick’s Catholic Church Sapele and first member to the Nigeria Pilgrim Board Delta State, died at age 92 in November 2019 and was buried in country home at Esaba in Ughelli South Local Government area of Delta State.

Rev Father Christopher Ekabo while thanking Deltans, particularly the Delta State Governor, Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa, who was represented by Commissioner on Special Duties, Dr Henry Sakpra, noted that the two past governor of the state and the current one have done well in the development of Delta State.

According to him, “what Chief James Ibori did in Delta State was good, what Dr Emmanuel Uduaghan did was better and what Senator Dr Ifeanyi Okowa is doing is the best, so, I say kudos to our Governor.”

Some other dignitaries present at the burial are the former Deputy Governor of Delta state, Prof Amos Otuama SAN, Hon Ovie Agaa, former Secretary to Delta State government, Hon Chief Felix Anirah, the Delta State Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Chairman, Olorogun Kingsley Esiso and Hon Eugene Inoaghan.
