PMAN commend stakeholders for making 32nd NAFEST a huge success

The Performing Musicians Association of Nigeria, PMAN, Edo State Chapter, has expressed appreciation to relevant stakeholders who worked tirelessly round the clock to ensure that the 32nd National Festival for Arts and Culture, NAFEST, in the state is colourful.

Making this remark at the opening ceremony of NAFEST at the University of Benin Sports Complex, Ugbowo Campus in Benin, the Chairman of the association, Comrade Willy Eghe Nova said that the festival is a remarkable one because Edo State is hosting after 40 years.

Comrade Eghe Nova noted that his association saddled with the responsibility of supplying Artiste to the different venues of activities will ensure that there is no dull moment.

“We are basically into music and other forms of entertainment. So we were given the mandate to supply musicians to the venues where there are activities. At the Oba Akenzua Cultural Centre that is the festival village, we have a band stand there, at Igun Street, right in front of Chief Inneh’s, we have a band stand there. We engage our Artistes from 12 noon till late in the night to entertain guests.

Different Artiste like Deaconess Palmer Omoruyi, Bolivia, Lobito Aghahowa, Our father, Prof. (Sir) Victor Uwaifo and other notable Artistes has all been engaged to ensure that people have a good time.”

While saying that the festival has boosted economic activities in the State, Comrade Eghe Nova specially commended the State Governor, Mr. Godwin Obaseki and the Commissioner for Arts, Culture and Diaspora Affairs, Hon. Osazee Osemwengie Ero whose time the hosting right of NAFEST was given to the State.
