Only genuine repentance could lead to salvation, Christians charged

 

…As Adjogbe donates building to Church of Christ
Brother Josiah Emonena of the Church of Christ has told Christians all over the world that only genuine repentance could lead them to salvation as the Church building, built and donated by the Acting Executive Director, Projects of the Niger Delta Development Commission, NDDC, Engr Samuel Adjogbe to the Church of Christ, Evwreni, Delta State was dedicated to God.
In his sermon, Brother Emonena, while liking Engr Samuel Adjogbe, as Nehemiah of our time, described him as a compassionate person who is dedicated to the work of God and with great concern for the well being of his people.
Emonena said if Christians are faithful, God could answer their prayers the way he answered the prayers of Nehemiah, adding that God would continue to answer the prayers of Engr Samuel Adjogbe, adding that Engr Adjogbe had gone to God in prayers before embarking on the Church building project.
He therefore, urged the people to play their roles in promoting the work of God on earth. In his teaching, Mr David Odje frowned at a situation where people worship God at will, saying God needs fervent worshippers.
Enjoining the people to change their ways and live according to the will of Christ, Odje said “only repentance can lead you to salvation”.  He added that “our body is a living sacrifice to God”. To this end, he urged the people to reshape and dedicate themselves to God to enable them enjoy eternity with Him.
In his brief remarks, Engr Samuel Adjogbe thanked President Mohammedu Buhari for giving the opportunity to serve his people. He also thanked the people of the church for giving him the opportunity to invest in the House of God, expressing hope and confidence in Him.
Adjogbe said he was moved to donate the edifice, thanking God for seeing him through all his past battles and the ones ahead.
