OERAF visits prison, donate items to inmates at Warri, Sapele, others

The Executive Director of Olotu & Ekuogbe Rowland Akpodiete Foundation, Dr. Olotu Akpodiete and a member of the trustees, Deacon Ogaga Ohwojero on the 18th December 2018, visited the Nigeria Prison in Sapele and Warri and Ogwashi-Uku, in Delta State.

In the spirit of Christmas, the Foundation gave out food items and toiletries to the prisons in Delta state, the items includes bags of Rice, bags of Beans, Garri, tissues papers, bathing and washing soaps, feeding plates, bathroom slippers, note books, biros, groundnut and palm oil, etc.

These items were given to the inmates as part of the Foundation’s humanitarian service to the society. The items were handled over to the Deputy Controller of the Prison, Warri (DCP) Mr. Solo. Airiohuodion, Welfare Officer in Sapele prison, Mrs Obiageli Ogbugbulu and DSP Okonkwo Frank at Ogwashi-Uku Prison.

Addressing the inmates, the Executive Director of OERAF, Dr Akpodiete stated that they had brought the items in order for them to celebrate the festive season, just like every other person.

He further urged members of the public to always remember those in prison as instructed in the Holy Bible in Hebrews 13:3.

In a related development, Barr. Lilian Eserinune representing the Executive Director OERAF gave similar items to inmates at the Ogwashi-Uku Prison. The items were received by the DSP Okonkwo Frank.

The inmates and prison guards further thanked the foundation for the gesture, praying that God should replenish them.
