The crisis rocking the Odio-Ologboship tussle of Ibrede clan in Ndokwa East Local Government Area of Delta State finally came to an end with the installation of Chief Couple Ipoli of Awah as the new Odio-Ologbo of the area.
Chief Couple Ipoli the eldest person as stipulated by the gazette is from Awah in Ward B of Ibrede clan.
Ibrede clan is made up of 8 communities which include, Ibrede and Okah in Ward A while Awah, Anyamah, Egwho_Okorafo, Lagos-Iyede, Iyede-Ameh and Ogige are in ward B.
The position of the Odio_Ologbo is not hereditary or rotational but by gerontocracy according to the gazette that has to do with succession in the clan.
With the emergence of the new Odio-Ologbo in the area which was overwhelmingly received and applauded by both sons and Daughters of Ibrede clan, relative peace has subsequently been restored.
The New Odio-Ologbo has however avowed to administer the affairs of the institution with the fear of God assuring to carry everybody along.
He therefore sued for the total support and cooperation of his subjects in order to bring his vision of attracting meaningful development to the area come to pass.
The installation of the Chief Couple Ipoli as the Odio-Ologbo of Ibrede clan became successful following the confirmation and directives by the Delta State Government that the gazette on the clan Odio-Ologboship should be followed and adhered with.
