Team SMART organises sensitization workshop for newly elected/appointed council officers

Addressing participants at the joint meeting of the Executive Legislators, Supervisors and Head of Departments at the Ika National Field, Agbor in Ika North East Local Government area of the State, the Director-General of Team S.M.A.R.T Hon. Orishedere Sunny disclosed that the program was deem necessary for the officers for the role they are expected to play in their difference wards and constituencies.

He noted that the representatives who are the mount piece of their wards and the people whom they represent are very key to the S.M.A.R.T AGENDA of the present administration under the leadership Sen. Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa.

Adding that the program is to get the above newly elected/appointed officers fully abreast with the activities and successes of the S.M.A.R.T AGENDA, and as well passed the informations to their immediate communities.

He however appeal for their utmost cooperation mobilizing the electorates within their area to register in the ongoing voters registration exercise. The Director-General stated that voting Okowa massively is one way of saying thank you for the good work he is doing across the state come 2019.

In his words ” apart from your wards and the local government you represent, you are also the mount piece of the state government and the governor in your respective communities”, as a result, you need to be acquainted with the successes, facts and figures of the S.M.A.R.T Agenda, most especially as electioneering period draws closer.

Responding, the Executive Chairman of Team SMART, Hon. Uche Osadebe thanked the Team for the initiative and encourage them to reach out to every council across the state. He said Oshimili South do not need much gospel as the evidence are there to speak.

While thanking the governor for all he has done and what he is also doing presently across the Local Government Area, Hon. Osadebe commended him for the massive work done at the Asaba Township Stadium, Marian Babangida Way, and roads construction across the state and the recent approval of Oko Road, Bonsak-Oduke road and the resurfacing of Ibusa Road from Nnebisi to Lagos/Asaba Road, Jesus/Kowea/Leo Okogu/Zappa, NCC/CBN Housing Estate Ugbolu Road and others.

He assured the Team and the Governor, that come 2019 and by the grace of God, Governor Okowa will win with a margin less expected.

Present at the event were the state secretary of Team SMART, Barr. Frank Osafile, the Delta North Women Leader, Princess Amamuzia, Frank Anukwu, Rev. Phillip Orubuisi, had in attendance the Director General, Team SMART for Okowa, Hon. Sunny Orishedere, the State Grand Patron, Elder Sam Nwa-Igumbor, and members of the State Executive Council of the Group .

High point of the sensitization program was the official presentation of copies of the S.M.A.R.T DIARY -a compendium of the S.M.A.R.T achievements to all present.
