PG Omene inaugurates Anidi-led UPU I’ghele r’urhobo World Wide

The President General, Urhobo Progress Union, UPU world Wide, Chief Joe Omene, weekend swear-in the newly elected executive of the I’ghele r’urhobo World Wide, the youth wing of UPU at his country home in Mosogar, Ethiope West Local Government Area of Delta State.

Swearing in the new exco, Chief Omene charged them to work assiduously towards the development of the Urhobo nation, adding that there is so much to achieve if they are united in their decisions.

The newly sworn-in I’ghele r’Urhobo president general, Comrade Loius Anidi, in his response thanked Chief Omene and other UPU leadership for the support and the opportunity given to them to pilot the affairs of Urhobo youths.

 

He added that with the UPU President General guidance the youth’s wing will go places.

 

The new Secretary of the UPU youths Wing, Comrade Kelly Efemena Umukoro, added they were prepared for the tasked ahead; “the youths are the leaders of tomorrow and God will give us the grace to do our best and I am fully prepared for the challenge” he said.

 

He stated further that there is no faction in the UPU youth wing, noting those going about claiming to be factional exco are illegal, encouraging Urhobo youths to get active in politics.

 

The immediate past UPU Youths Wing, president general, Comrade Anthony Ovie thank God and his excos who gave him the opportunity to serve them, advising the new executive to beware of politicians.

 

Also speaking at the occasion,  Mr Innocent Anidi, said its time for the Urhobos to take what rightfully belongs to them, “You cannot see the Urhobo man making way in government that is why we, the Urhobos want to be in power come 2019” adding that political parties will come and go but the Urhobos nation will always remain.
