Pemu condemn Oshiomhole’s boasting of taking over Delta

The Chairman of the Festus Pemu Initiative for Social Development and Peace Building, Mr Festus Pemu, has condemned the buying of votes and the boasting of the National Chairman of the All Progressive Congress, APC, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole on taking over Delta State.

Pemu while speaking to newsmen at his office in Sapele, Sapele local government area of Delta State said “election shouldn’t be by boasting but should be about results. Oshiomhole boasting has shows that APC has an ulterior motive, it’s clear that they have bought the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, over, otherwise if they don’t have control on INEC it will be childish for a party chairman to start boasting of taking a state that has never been APC”.

Speaking further he said: “That there were lots of irregularities in the presidential election that brought Buhari to power, but INEC allowed it for reasons best known to them. But thank God it was allowed and today we are seeing the results.”

“I want to advise that APC shouldn’t be preparing to write results behind closed doors, they should come out boldly to conduct free and fair election. They should allow INEC do their job and shouldn’t use presidential might to use INEC against the PDP.

“For a National Chairman of a party to say that they are going to announce result and whoever that is not satisfied with it should go to court, that tells us that something have been done and that is what is prompting him to start talking that way.”

He however appealed to the federal government to see all citizens as equal Nigeria irrespective of their tribes and allow the masses to vote their conscience in the forth coming election rather than buying votes and writing results in INEC offices.
