Barely a week after he was bestowed with Ochuko R’ Urhobo (Helper of Urhobo Nation); one of the highest recognition by Urhobo Progress Union (UPU), the smart governor of Delta State, Senator Dr Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa today 28th May, 2018 re-enforced his commitment to partner with Urhobo ethnic nationality by swearing-in a prominent woman politician in Delta Central Senatorial District, Chief Judith Enamuotor as Special Adviser.

Gov Okowa swears-in Judith Enamuotor as Special Adviser

Prior to Okowa administration, one of the major complaints of the Urhobo people of Delta Central  was alleged scanty political appointments by the previous administration which became the focal point in electioneering campaigns by the 2015 Urhobo governorship candidates, Olorogun Otega Emerhor of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and Chief Great Ogboru of the Labour Party (LP).

Gov Okowa, the 2015 PDP candidate promised the good people of Delta State that if elected as governor, he would ensure that his administration allocates political appointments on equal basis to Delta Central, Delta North and Delta South.

And as a promise keeper, the Ika born master political strategist has been and still fulfilling his electioneering promises to Urhobo Nation and to the other two senatorial districts of North and South respectively.

At the last count, Delta Central got SSG slot, several ministerial slots, Special Advisers slots, Chairmen of Boards and members of various Department and Agencies, EAs, SSAs, SAs et al.

There are hardly any appointments in recent times that eluded Delta Central. Gov Okowa has shown that he is a trustworthy political leader and a proactive one for that matter. He honours his words, spoken or written.

Judith Enamuotor’s swearing-in at Government House attracted the shakers and movers in Delta Central politics, a deliberate display of deep appreciation for Gov Okowa over his rain of love splashed on Urhobo ethnic nationality and to thank him for yet another enviable appointment.

Unholy critiques may say that the numerous appointments for sons and daughters of Urhobo Nation have political motives; and I dare say that a good and active politician knows the way to go, the right moves and the necessary steps to take to ensure that stakeholders are involved in the system so as to have that sense of belonging.

It follows that Gov Okowa is a strategic politician who knows the right time to strike the right cord; for as you dress your bed, you lay on it. The many travails of the All Progressives Congress (APC) nationwide including Delta State are multifaceted.

APC sins ranges from use and dump syndrome to failed promises, lopsided appointments, deceit, propaganda instead of sincerity of purpose and closed door policy bedeviled by fetish political Cabalism, tribal bigotry, ethnic politics and poor leadership.

Gov Okowa of Delta State tried so hard to avoid the above listed sins of the drowning APC which hitherto made mess of the current national government and Buhari administration where strategic key stakeholders were deliberately shot out of the system after the general elections.

It takes a right frame of mind, good political sense and adequate electioneering forecasting to remain a winner and cherished political leader.

The Smart Governor of Delta State has got all it takes to reign supreme in the realm of politics like his long standing leader, brother and friend, His Excellency Chief James Onanefe Ibori, a man who will continue to soar above his contemporaries in the game of politics.

Those bad belle politicians must realise that politics is local and it’s about people, good governance and proactive leadership.

One of the best ways to keep a political party stronger and relevant is to bring the right people with unblemished credibility and wealth of experience on board so as to facilitate overall development and socioeconomic advancement.

Gov Okowa sure knows the nitty gritty of effective political mobilization and positive strategies to win elections again and again.

If you and your party do not know what it takes to lead effectively, Gov Okowa does.

Congratulations to Chief Judith Enamuotor. We hope and pray that your appointment as Special Adviser to Gov Okowa will impact on good governance and help to bring more dividends of democracy and uncommon development to the state and Delta Central.
