Edegware Foundation donates relief materials to IDPs in Isoko

As part of its humanitarian service to the people and society, Mike Edegware Foundation, (MEF), has donated relief materials worth thousand of naira to Internally Displaced Persons at Emede camp, Isoko South Local Government Area, Delta State.
Items donated include, Garri, Rice, Beans, treated water, Dano Milk, Millo and toiletries.
Speaking on the occasion, Chief Edegware, Grand Patron of MEF who was represented by Dr. Odeji J. Godfrey said, the gesture was part of its social responsibility.
“This is part of our social responsibility and we are going to do same in subsequent times as our way of supporting the IDPs to live a better life”.
Edegware  described the condition of the IDPs as unfortunate and urged other spirited individuals and organization support them even as the Delta State Government is doing it best.
“The donation was part of efforts by the Foundation to reach out to the less privileged by touching lives, especially the Internally Displaced Persons in the state. It is our contribution to reduce the pains the people are passing through.
“We feel it is necessary for us to identify with you at this trying time and period and if others are doing same, I think it will go a long way in helping out in some of the problems .
Responding on behalf of the IDPs, Mrs. Omoefe Oghenekome, the camp commandant said, “We know it is not easy and on behalf of the Delta State Government and State Emergency Management Agency, we are saying thank you.
“We are happy that these things came at the right time and we express our gratitude to the foundation for providing for the IDPs here in Emede. We pray that God will bless you”. Mrs. Oghenekome said.
