Bibi commend Gen. Boroh; charges Niger Delta Youths to support security agencies to end oil bunkering

The Commandant General of Riverine (Security Coast Guard of the Federation), Commander Oduku Bibi has commended the Special Adviser to the President on Niger Delta and Coordinator of the Presidential Amnesty Programme, Gen. Paul Boroh (rtd) on his efforts to end youth restiveness in the region.gen-paul-boroh-rtd-and-commander-oduku-bibi

Bibi stated this after a meeting with Gen. Boroh recently where the Amnesty boss endorsed and recommended the service of the Riverine Security Coast Guard of the Federation to other security organization in order to end such vices as illegal Oil bunkering, pipeline vandalism, sea piracy and kidnapping ravaging the region.

He promised that with the collaboration of security agencies and the Riverine Security Coast Guard of the Federation, the recruitments of future militants will be a thing of the past, as the officers of Riverine Security has what it takes to checkmate criminal elements in the region.

Bibi stressed further that with the deployment of Geographical Information System by Riverine Security (Coast Guard of the Federation) and his men across all communities in the region, it will be easy to track down and raid criminals in the region.

While praising the Nigerian military on the professional manner it has carried out its operation code named, “operation crocodile smile,” he noted that the security agents posted to the Niger Delta knows those they are looking for, therefore law abiding citizens have nothing to fear.

He also commended Gen. Boroh for the youth Agricultural development and empowerment progreamme amid at creating a sustainable employment and income for former agitators and other youths in the region.

He added that such programme if well funded will channel energy of the youths to productive venture and thereby reducing the pool of ideal hands which are easily lured into crime.

According to Bibi, Gen. Boroh has assured him and the people of the region of the Federal government plans to speedy up development of the region and also create the enabling environment for investors to come and invest in aquaculture and agriculture.

He therefore advised the youths from the region to key into the government agriculture empowerment programme and shuns all forms of criminalities.
