Waive promises to work for the progress, development of Urhobo nation

The member representing Ughelli North, Ughelli South, and Udu Federal Constituency at the House of Representatives, Hon. (Rev) Francis Waive, has pledged to work for the progress and development of his constituency, the Urhobo nation and the country at large.

Revd Waive made this disclosure over the weekend at the Ughelli Township Stadium when the people of Ughelli gathered together to pray for the peace and development of the kingdom.

The House of Representative member noted that the court case was what slowed him down, saying now that the case was over, he would have time to sit and plan for the development of his constituency.

“I am happy that the case has been decided in my favour. Now I am ready to work for the development of my people. I am ready to work for the development of the Urhobo nation and I am ready to work for the development of the country,” he stated.

Revd Waive thanked the people and the church for their prayers and massive support given to him during the election.

Earlier, the Guest Speaker, Revd Dr Neville Waye, in his message titled “Oil of Favour” taken from the book of 1 Samuel 10:1, said that for one to obtain favour from God, he needed the anointing of God backed with prayer and thanksgiving.

Revd Waye noted that favour was better than labour and urged Christians to pray for God’s favour to make advancement in life.

The highpoint of the ceremony was the offering of intercessory prayers by some ministers of God for the peace and development of Ughelli/Udu Federal Constituency, Delta State and Nigeria in general.
